Lars H. Hertzog, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained eye physician and surgeon. With a year of general surgery, two individual one-year fellowships in cornea and refractive surgery, and a three-year ophthalmic surgical residency, he has had considerably more formal surgical training than other eye physicians. He began private practice in Long Beach in 2001 and has been in solo practice since 2004. He is also an FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner and cares for the eyes of thousands of pilots, both foreign and domestic.

We provide general eye exams, microincisional cataract and implant lens surgery, laser vision correction (LASIK), and glaucoma treatment. In addition to cataract and refractive surgery, Dr. Lars Hertzog also specializes in the medical and surgical management of corneal disease, including the most modern techniques in corneal transplantation.
